- What is the Students Revolving Loan Scheme?
- SRLS is a national student financing institution, established to provide sustainable financial support to eligible students pursuing higher and tertiary education.
- Are the loans interest-free?
- Yes. The loans in the first application cycle are interest-free.
- Who can apply?
- For the first cycle: Gambian citizens aged 18 or above who are admitted to an eligible bachelor's degree programme at one of the four participating public universities, and who meet the other requirements.
- Does being eligible guarantee a loan?
- No. Eligibility allows your application to be considered. Every application goes through verification and assessment before a financing decision is made.
- When do applications open?
- Applications open on 15 September 2026.
- When do applications close?
- Applications close on 30 September 2026.
- How do I apply?
- Applications are submitted online, through the SRLS Loan Management System.
- Do I need guarantors?
- Yes. Every applicant has to provide both a primary and a secondary guarantor.
- When do I start repaying?
- You have a one-year grace period after graduation before repayment begins.
