About student loans

SRLS provides interest-free tuition loans to eligible students on approved programmes at participating institutions.

The first application cycle supports new and continuing students enrolled in accredited bachelor's degree programmes at The Gambia's four public universities.

The Scheme is there to remove financial barriers to higher education while keeping a financing model that can last. For the first application cycle, the loan covers tuition costs.

Application Process

How the Loan Cycle Works

Check Eligibility

Ensure you are a Gambian citizen aged 18+ admitted to CSU, UEG, USET, or UTG.

Prepare Documents

Gather your ID, admission letter, WASSCE/transcript, character certificate, and address proof.

Confirm Guarantors

Speak with your primary and secondary guarantors to secure their verified documentation.

Submit Online

Fill in the structured 6-step form on the SRLS portal before the cycle closes.
